The Cecil County Public Schools Food & Nutrition Department began a business relationship with Hershey’s® Ice Cream at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. In only three months we have found that Hershey’s® customer service has surpassed our previous vendor by leaps and bounds. They have answered and addressed every question or concern we have had with quick, courteous, and professional customer service. Their product catalog has proven to be superior in every way as well. Hershey’s® Ice Cream keeps up with the trends consistently bringing new products to our schools that meet the smart snack regulations and that the students enjoy. They have always been reasonably priced and have done exactly what we have asked of them. Hershey’s® Ice Cream has maintained consistent delivery times, products, and invoicing throughout my tenure with The Laurel School District. Cumberland Valley School District began using Hershey’s® Ice Cream beginning in the 2017-18 school year. Since the switch to Hershey’s® Smart Snacks in Schools, the á la carte Ice Cream sales are up 10% over last year. The kids’ favorites are the Chocolate and Strawberry Scooter Bars and all 3 varieties of cones including the Cookies and Cream, Crazy Cone and the Twist Cone. The students also prefer the Hershey’s® Juice Rush frozen juice cup as part of their lunch over the previous product we served. We are very pleased with our decision to switch to Hershey’s® Ice Cream in the Cumberland Valley School District.
